Brendan has been working and making a living from clay with his wife Kathryn since 1988. Early on his work focused on producing bright coloured, decorative slip cast ceramics, originally with Crown Lynn clay. He’s now focused on more one off pieces that are thrown and slab built. Along side this he has always created sculptural pieces utilising other materials. These works have been exhibited throughout NZ in major competitions and exhibition where he has won several awards and is represented in the Auckland Museum, Art House and regional collections.
Over the years he has enjoyed teaching ceramics part time at Unitec, Auckland Studio Potters and workshops around NZ.
