Quartz, Museum of Studio Ceramics
Description
Unique to Aotearoa New Zealand, the Museum holds over 4,300 works (mainly New Zealand), with more than 1,100 on show at any one time. The collection includes major examples of many of the most important potters from this country, from the early 20th century to the present day.
Established by Rick Rudd in November 2015; and is open six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday) 10:30am to 4pm. Rickâs studio and showroom are in the foyer at Quartz: 8 Bates Street, Whanganui.
